Museums of natural history have many important roles and serve a variety of audiences.

Directions for Writing:

Before you begin writing, think about the benefits and importance of natural history museums. Imagine that you are the head curator of the museum. You are about to lose a portion of your state funding. Write a letter to the state legislature explaining why they should continue to fully fund the museum.
